Within the framework of the Poverty Alleviation Capacity Building Programme (PA-CaB), and in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), SESRIC organised a Workshop on “Utilization of Innovation and Technology for Accelerating the Eradication of Poverty” on 21-22 October 2025.
The event, held in commemoration of the International Day of Poverty, was attended by 151 experts from relevant ministries and national institutions from 34 OIC countries.
The sessions provided insights into practical approaches and policy frameworks that leverage digital tools and emerging technologies to advance poverty reduction within member countries. Key topics covered included digital financial inclusion, telehealth services, technology-enabled education, and social assistance delivery through ICT solutions. The Workshop underscored the importance of strengthening digital infrastructure, fostering innovation ecosystems, and promoting inclusive access to technology as essential enablers for advancing poverty eradication efforts.
