The First Meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of the Reverse Linkage Project between Sudan and Turkey on “Capacity Development of the Africa City of Technology” was held on 8 October 2019 at the office of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Regional Hub in Ankara, Turkey.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the project partners namely, SESRIC, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA), the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) Marmara Technopark (MARTEK), Uludağ University Technology Development Zone (ULUTEK) and Africa City of Technology (ACT).
The meeting reviewed the progress made in the project activities since the start-up of the project on 27-28 January 2019 in Sudan, and identified some corrective actions where variance has been observed with respect to time and quality objectives of the project.
Having committed to contribute to the implementation of the project by providing financial and technical support, SESRIC implemented four capacity building activities in cooperation with the relevant project partners within the scope of the project and in total, 23 ACT staff have been benefited from these activities.
