Project purpose:

The main objective of the project was to develop food security in OIC Member Countries by promoting the utilisation of sustainable agricultural inputs, such as improved seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, to help smallholders achieve sustainable growth towards ensuring food security and mitigating rural poverty. The project consisted of two main activities: an online training course and an on-site workshop. The training course aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of sustainable agricultural practices through exploring the latest strategies and best practices in using agricultural inputs such as fertilisers, pest control measures, and irrigation techniques. The workshop brought participants together in a physical space to exchange valuable experiences and knowledge, promoting knowledge dissemination and formulating actionable strategies for the integration of sustainable agricultural inputs into national food security policies and programmes.
