Project purpose:

In commemoration of Dakar as the OIC City of Tourism 2025, the project aimed to enhance Senegal’s visibility and competitiveness as a promising tourism destination through pertinent branding and marketing strategies, with special emphasis on its rich culinary heritage. Through capacity-building activities focused on marketing, branding, and public-private partnerships, the project helped equip national tourism authorities and private sector stakeholders with the skills and tools necessary to promote gastronomy tourism. Furthermore, the activities focused on sharing success stories from leading member countries in the sector and relevant OIC and International Organisations, which contributed to the sustainable development of Senegal’s gastronomy tourism sector.
