Technical Mission on ‘Community Outreach through Social Media for National Statistical Offices’ to Brunei Darussalam

SESRIC organised a Technical Mission on ‘Community Outreach through Social Media for National Statistics Offices’ on 11-12 December 2018 to the Department of Economic Planning and Development (JPKE) of Brunei Darussalam within the framework of OIC Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme.

Ms. Nurul Aini Abdul Wahab, Assistant Director of Strategic Communication & International Division at Department of Statistics (DOSM) Malaysia, conducted the technical mission with the participation of 20 officials of JPKE of Brunei Darussalam.

The Technical Mission included discussion activities with a focus on the following topics:

  • Social Media Marketing Strategy:
    • Social media trends and challenges
    • Infographics to boost engagement
  • Social Media Analytics:
    • Social media monitoring
    • DOSM Media Intelligence (Sharing knowledge)
