Within the framework of the OIC Tourism Capacity Building Programme (Tr-CaB), SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Halal Tourism” on 10-12 December 2019 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, for the benefit of experts from the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Provided by the Director General of Islamic Tourism Centre in Malaysia the training course has mainly focused on following subjects:

• Introduction of Muslim-Friendly Tourism (MFT)
• Muslim Travelers: Understanding their Needs and Strategizing the Market
• Global Halal Industry and its Impacts in MFT
• Government Roles in Encouraging MFT
• Development and Planning of MFT Destination
• Muslim Friendly Accommodation Recognition (MFAR)
• Muslim Friendly Tour Guide (MGTG).
