The Centre organised a training course on “Methods of Water Data and Information Collection (Water Statistics)” on 19-20 August 2015 at the venue of the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA), Palestine.

The two day course was provided by two experts, Mr. Mehmet Seren Korkmaz, Chief Engineer, Hydrometeorological Observations Department and Mr. Mehmet Soylu, Engineer, Investigation, Planning and Allocation Department at the the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI), Turkey. The beneficiary target group of that two day training course was the staffs of the PWA, Palestine.

The two day course covered below topics:

• Hydrological & Hydrometeorological Studies;
• Hydrological Measurements;
• Operational Field Studies;
• Office Studies;
• SVT (Water Data Base) Software;
• SVT Hydrometry;
• Flood Early Warning Systems;
• Practical work.
