SESRIC and the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Instrument Standardization (IAAIS) formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15 March 2023. The MoU aims to facilitate and enhance technical cooperation between the two institutions in areas of mutual interest.

The MoU was signed by H.E. Mr. Nebil DABUR, Director General of SESRIC, and H.E. Prof. Dr. Fadjry DJUFRY, Director General of IAAIS, marking a significant step towards joint efforts in fostering a sustainable and competitive agricultural sector and enhancing food security levels in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries.

The collaboration framework set forth in the MoU encompasses knowledge exchange, research, capacity building, and training activities. The partnership will also support the development and implementation of joint projects in agricultural development, food security, and standardization of agricultural instruments for the benefit of relevant national institutions in OIC member countries.

Operating under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, IAAIS holds the primary responsibility of implementing, maintaining, and harmonizing agricultural instrument standards with the objective of increasing competitiveness through standardization of agricultural instruments.
