SESRIC Staff Attended the Training Programme on “Diplomacy” Provided by the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye

SESRIC staff participated in a two-day intensive training programme on diplomacy, provided by the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye in Ankara on 11-12 May 2023.

The programme was specifically designed to strengthen participants' understanding and competencies in several critical aspects of diplomacy. The comprehensive training covered a wide range of diplomacy-related subjects, including Diplomatic Skills and Correspondence, Diplomacy and International Relations, Protocol Issues, Public Diplomacy, Multilateral Diplomacy, and Cultural Diplomacy.

SESRIC regularly carries out key roles such as facilitating dialogue among its member countries, coordinating development initiatives, and promoting international cooperation. The effective execution of these responsibilities requires its staff members to be proficient, experienced, and extensively trained in various dimensions of diplomacy.

The partnership between SESRIC and the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye is built on a shared commitment to enhance capacity-building efforts within the OIC community. This partnership has also facilitated the joint planning and execution of various training initiatives within the framework of the Centre’s Diplomacy Capacity Building Programme (Diplomacy-CaB) aimed at providing junior diplomats from OIC Member States with the essential skills and knowledge to navigate the complexities of the modern diplomatic landscape.
