A Delegation from the State Supervisory Council of the Republic of Türkiye, headed by the Chairman, H.E. Mr Yunus ARINCI, paid a Courtesy Visit to H.E. Mrs. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC

A delegation from the State Supervisory Council of the Republic of Türkiye, led by Chairman, H.E. Mr. Yunus ARINCI, visited SESRIC Headquarters. The delegation, which included H.E. Mr. Salih TANRIKULU, member of the Presidency State Supervisory Board and the Board of Directors of SESRIC, and Mr. İsmail KURUL, Board Member of the State Supervisory Council, extended their congratulations to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK on her recent appointment as the Director General of SESRIC.

During the visit, H.E. Mr. ARINCI congratulated H.E. Mrs. SELÇUK on her recent appointment as the Director General of SESRIC and discussed ways to enhance collaboration between national institutions of Türkiye and the Centre. He emphasized the significance of SESRIC's function in promoting cooperation and development among the Member Countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) through various activities in the areas of statistics, research, training, and technical cooperation. H.E. Mr. ARINCI also highlighted the importance of the OIC and its institutions to Türkiye.

H.E. Mrs. SELÇUK conveyed her gratitude for the visit and thanked the State Supervisory Council of Türkiye for their continued support of SESRIC’s mandate in the areas of statistics, research, training, and technical cooperation. She also highlighted the importance of having Türkiye as a Permanent Member of the Board of Directors of SESRIC since its foundation. H.E. Mrs. SELÇUK also highlighted the close relationship between SESRIC and the State Supervisory Council of the Republic of Türkiye, particularly with the latter's representation as a member of the Board of Directors of SESRIC.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further increase collaboration between SESRIC and the State Supervisory Council of Türkiye for the benefit of the OIC Countries.
