SESRIC participated in the 8^th Meeting of the Sub-Group on Gender Statistics Training (SGGST), which was organised by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and the United Nations Statistical Institute of Asia and the Pacific (UNSIAP). The meeting took place on 14 – 16 November 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand, with Dr. Nenden Octavarulia SHANTY, Senior Researcher at the Statistics and Information Department, representing SESRIC at the meeting.

The key points for the 8^th meeting included conducting a comprehensive assessment of the revised content of the Training Curriculum, including modules, exercises, and slide presentations. Further, the meeting aimed to agree on a timeline for the completion of the updated modules and exercises. The gathering also focused on finalising other crucial overarching documents, such as the proposed monitoring and evaluation strategy and advocacy plans, alongside the monitoring and evaluation plan. Additionally, the meeting endeavoured to identify the next steps for the Sub-Group, including the trainings scheduled for 2024.
