Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Training Course on 'Information Society Statistics' with the participation of 48 experts from National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of 16 OIC countries on 27-28 December 2023 through an online video conferencing platform.

Mr. Mehmet GÜNAL and Ms. Aslıhan KABADAYI, Experts at the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), conducted the course and covered the following topics:

• Surveys on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Usage in Households, Individuals and Enterprises
  • Analytical Framework, concepts, definitions
  • Methodological base, classifications, coverage and statistical units
  • Sampling method
  • Data collection, measurement and analysis
  • Dissemination
