Prof. Dr. Murat YÜLEK, Rector of OSTIM Technical University, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at the SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara. The meeting underscored the potential for collaboration between OSTIM Technical University and SESRIC, focusing on the fields of higher education, research, and economic development.

During the meeting, both dignitaries explored avenues for strengthening bilateral ties, with a special emphasis on capacity-building projects, technical cooperation, and experience-sharing initiatives. They also exchanged insights on fostering cooperation in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), a key area of development for both institutions.

In this perspective, H.E. SELÇUK highlighted the importance of SESRIC’s efforts in capacity-building and TVET programmes which could pave the way for joint initiatives with OSTIM Technical University. H.E. SELÇUK also underlined SESRIC’s commitment to continuing collaboration and exploring new opportunities with tertiary education institutions to further benefit OIC countries.

In turn, Prof. YÜLEK delved into the intersection of research fields pursued by OSTIM Technical University. He mentioned that collaborative research projects with SESRIC would benefit the OIC countries.

The meeting concluded with mutual recognition of the strategic importance of strengthening ties between academia and international organisations, particularly in promoting sustainable economic development and technical expertise.
