SESRIC Hosts Delegation of Young Diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait

SESRIC hosted a delegation of young diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, accompanied by representatives from the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at its headquarters in Ankara. The delegation was warmly received by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC.

At the outset, the visiting delegation received an in-depth presentation on the history, structure, and mission of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, providing valuable insights into the OIC’s Charter of fostering cooperation among its member states. Furthermore, the delegation was presented with an overview of SESRIC’s core activities, focusing on its three mandated areas of work: statistics, research, and training & technical cooperation. These initiatives were discussed in the context of how they contribute to the development and empowerment of OIC countries.

Following the presentation, H.E. SELÇUK came together with the visiting delegation and highlighted the commitment of SESRIC in supporting the socio-economic development endeavours of OIC Member Countries in various domains, through knowledge products and capacity development activities.

The visit served as a platform for the exchange of ideas and emphasized the importance of building stronger ties with Kuwaiti institutions. In this vein, SESRIC reaffirmed its readiness to continue supporting Kuwait through targeted programs that promote capacity development, knowledge sharing, and technical assistance.

At the conclusion of the visit, the diplomats expressed their gratitude to SESRIC for the warm welcome and the valuable opportunity to learn more about both the OIC, as well as SESRIC’s fundamental role in fostering cooperation and development among the OIC Member Countries.
