SESRIC held a coordination meeting with the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) on 3 October 2024, at IŞKUR headquarters in Ankara, Türkiye, to strengthen collaboration within the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) framework.

During the meeting, SESRIC outlined the Centre’s ongoing initiatives and projects related to labour market, employability skills, and public employment services within the framework of the OIC-PESNET. They also explored potential joint activities as outlined in the OIC-PESNET Work Plan for 2024-2026, with a particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation with IŞKUR.

Representatives from İŞKUR emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration within the OIC-PESNET and proposed several joint projects with SESRIC for the benefit of the OIC countries. They stressed the need for more active and focused collaborations to address pressing labour market challenges.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation through tailored capacity-building programmes that will help contribute to the development of effective public employment services within the OIC region.
