Training Course on 'Diagnosing and Analysing Markets with High Export Potential for SMEs'

In line with relevant resolutions of the 39th Session of the COMCEC, SESRIC organised a Training Course on “Diagnosing and Analysing Markets with High Export Potential for SMEs” on 30-31 October 2024 through an online video conferencing platform.

The training course was provided by experts from the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia, the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was organised for the benefit of 50 experts and executives from the Ministries of Trade and relevant national institutions of 27 OIC countries.

The objective of this training course was to provide insights addressing the major challenges faced by SMEs in diagnosing and analysing markets with high export potential, with a particular focus on empowering women and young entrepreneurs in OIC countries. The training provided participants with alternative tools and methodologies for market analysis; explore strategies for internationalisation; and enhance their ability to support SMEs in leveraging export opportunities. The training course covered several topics, including:

  • MATRADE’S Digital Initiatives for Malaysian SMEs
  • Tools for Enhancing Export Potential of SMEs
  • The Role of Digital Applications in the Communications Between Trade Diplomats and Turkish Companies to Raise Awareness on Export and Business Opportunities
  • Export Diversification and Sophistication
