Training Course on ‘Fostering the Utilisation of the Digital Technologies for a Better Employment and Skill Development’

SESRIC, in collaboration with the National Agency for Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC) of the Kingdom of Morocco, organised a Training Course on “Fostering the Utilisation of the Digital Technologies for a Better Employment and Skill Development” on 11-12 November 2024 through an online video conferencing platform. The event was held within the framework of SESRIC’s Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB) and in line with the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) Work Plan 2024-2026.

The training was provided by experts from ANAPEC for the benefit of 55 experts and executives from the Public Employment Agencies and relevant ministries and national institutions in 11 French-speaking OIC countries.

The objective of this training course was to provide a comprehensive understanding of how digital tools and platforms can be leveraged to improve job prospects, increase employability, and support continuous professional growth. Participants gained insights into the latest digital tools and techniques in their field, and learned how to integrate these tools into their work to achieve better results.

The training course specifically covered the following topics:

  • The latest trends and innovations in digital tools transforming the employment and skill development landscape;
  • Promotion of self-directed learning through digital platforms, helping participants navigate Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and other online educational resources;
  • Improvement of digital literacy, covering essential skills such as effective internet use, online communication, and digital etiquette;
  • Guidance on using digital technologies to facilitate career transitions, including upskilling and reskilling in response to market demands.
