Webinar on ‘Labour and Employment’

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between Indonesia and Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Türkiye and SESRIC organised a Webinar on “Labour and Employment” on 23 October 2024 through an online video conferencing platform.

The webinar was attended by 73 experts from the ministries of labour and relevant national institutions of Azerbaijan, Indonesia and Türkiye. SESRIC effectively moderated all sessions of the webinar and delivered a comprehensive presentation on the States of Labor Markets and Employment in OIC Member Countries.

The main purpose of this webinar was to strengthen labour cooperation among Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye by building on the frameworks established in their memorandums of understanding. The event provided a platform for discussing key labour topics such as Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), mental health in the workplace, and social security with a focus on job loss protection. Through shared presentations and discussions, participants exchanged best practices, addressed common challenges, and explored ways to foster safer, healthier work environments and enhance labour security measures across all three nations.
