Within the framework of the OIC Occupational Safety and Health Network (OIC-OSHNET) and Occupational Safety and Health Capacity Building Programme (OSH-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Occupational Safety and Health (DGOSH) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Türkiye organised a training course on “Market Surveillance and Inspection of Personal Protective Equipment” on 11 December 2024 through an online video conference platform.

The training course was provided by competent experts from the DGOSH of Türkiye for the benefit of 62 participants from 28 OIC countries.

The training focused on building the capacity of OSH professionals from OIC countries in the area of market surveillance, with an emphasis on the inspection of Personal Protective Equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. It also fostered inter-institutional collaboration to establish unified standards for PPE inspection across OIC countries.

The training course covered various topics, including:

• PPE Product Group Sessions II
• PPE Product Group Sessions III
• PPE Product Group Sessions IV
• İSGÜM PPE Test Laboratory
