Virtual Workshop on ‘Developing Inclusive Education Programs in the Domain of Science and Technology in OIC-Africa Countries’

Within the framework of the Social Development Capacity Building Programme (SD-CaB), SESRIC successfully organized an online Workshop on “Developing Inclusive Education Programs in the Domain of Science and Technology in OIC-Africa Countries” on 4 February 2025.

The workshop brought together 67 experts and executives from the education sector, along with academicians, from 14 French-speaking OIC countries in Africa.

The event aimed to provide a platform to discuss strategic policymaking, challenges, and opportunities for developing inclusive strategies in science and technology education. Through productive presentations and discussions, participants from different countries shared their experiences and gained valuable insights from other OIC countries.

Discussions and presentations focussed on:

  • Importance of inclusive education in science and technology domain,
  • Effective national policies and programs,
  • Adaptive pedagogical methods,
  • Use of technology to achieve inclusive education,
  • Country experience of Senegal and Cameroon,
  • IsDB’s efforts in providing quality education for all.
