Date: 27-28 May 2025
Venue: Virtual-SESRIC, Ankara - Türkiye

Within the framework of its Central Banks Capacity Building Programme (CB-CaB), SESRIC will organise a Training Course on “Exploring the Potential of Central Banks Digital Currencies (CBDC) in the OIC Member Countries” on 27-28 May 2025.

The training course aims to enhance understanding of the potential benefits and challenges of CBDCs in OIC countries, while providing insights into the regulatory, infrastructural, and technological readiness for their utilisation.

Additionally, the training will serve as a platform for experts from Central Banks, financial authorities, and relevant national institutions of member countries to discuss and exchange knowledge regarding CBDC mandates.

The Central Banks Capacity Building Programme (CB-CaB), developed by SESRIC in 2009, aims to strengthen the institutional and human resources capacities of Central Banks and Monetary Authorities in OIC Member Countries. This is achieved through facilitating the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices. Within this framework, SESRIC organizes various capacity building activities, such as training courses and workshops.
