H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Abdullah EREN, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).

The bilateral meeting focused on strengthening the ongoing collaboration between SESRIC and YTB, particularly in the field of capacity-building programmes. In this context, both sides discussed possible joint initiatives, including the SESRIC Emerging Talents Capacity Building Programme (SET-CAB), which aims to support students from OIC countries studying in Türkiye.

H.E. SELÇUK highlighted SESRIC’s Global Muslim Diaspora (GMD) Project, conducted in partnership with the Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBÜ), which maps the societal, economic, and legal presence of Muslim communities in non-Muslim countries. Through surveys, interviews, and focus groups, the project provides a data-driven understanding of Muslim diaspora experiences. As part of the GMD project, SESRIC has published a series of country reports on the Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming the mutual commitment of SESRIC and YTB to further enhance their cooperation in areas of shared interest.
