The 2025 Summit, held under the theme “Islamic Economic Strategies: Path to an Influential Global Economy”, brought together high-level officials, experts, and representatives from the private sector to discuss the growing impact of Islamic finance in supporting a more ethical and inclusive global economy.

H.E. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, President of the Republic of Türkiye, graced the opening ceremony of the Summit. In his remarks, President ERDOĞAN highlighted the gap between the large population of the Muslim world and its relatively limited influence in the global economy. He called for stronger economic cooperation among Muslim countries and emphasised the importance of Islamic finance as a fair and sustainable alternative within the global financial system.

H.E. Abdullah Saleh KAMEL, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy, described the Summit as an opportunity for emerging markets to contribute more actively to shaping the global economy. He underlined the relevance of Islamic economics as a framework grounded in ethics, innovation, and inclusive prosperity.

The Global Islamic Economy Summit serves as a unique platform for dialogue and collaboration, offering participants the opportunity to engage in high-level discussions on how to integrate Islamic economic principles with today’s strategic needs.
