SESRIC and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 8 July 2025 at the NIOSH Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Signed by H.E. Within the scope of this MoU, SESRIC and NIOSH will strengthen their cooperation through capacity-building programmes, knowledge sharing, and technical expertise in OSH. The partnership will also support the implementation of the OIC Occupational Safety and Health Network (OIC-OSHNET), a platform established to foster closer cooperation among OSH institutions of the OIC countries through the sharing of knowledge, experience, and best practices.

The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is Malaysia’s leading training and research institution in the field of OSH. Operating under the Ministry of Human Resources of Malaysia, NIOSH plays a significant role in promoting workplace safety, providing accredited training programmes, conducting OSH-related research, and supporting national policy development to ensure a safe and healthy workforce across the country.
