H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Euphrasie Kouassi YAO, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, at the SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on potential avenues of cooperation between SESRIC and Côte d’Ivoire, with a particular focus on promoting equal opportunities for women and advancing the empowerment of women and girls across OIC countries.

H.E. SELÇUK thanked H.E. YAO for her visit and reaffirmed SESRIC’s readiness to work closely with Côte d’Ivoire in areas aligned with the Centre’s mandates, which include the collection, processing and dissemination of socio-economic statistics, the conduct of research on developmental issues, and the organisation of training and capacity-building programmes for OIC countries.

Discussions further emphasised the importance of developing joint initiatives, enhancing knowledge exchange, and implementing targeted programmes to advance equal opportunities for women and girls, increase their socio-economic participation.

Both sides expressed their commitment to exploring concrete partnerships that contribute to the OIC’s shared vision of sustainable and inclusive development.
