Within the framework of the Diplomacy Capacity Building Programme (Diplomacy-CaB), SESRIC hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, accompanied by a representative from the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at its headquarters in Ankara on 2 September 2025.

At the outset, SESRIC welcome to the delegation. The tour de table was followed by a presentation in Arabic on the history, organisational structure, vision, and mission of the OIC. The presentation provided an overview of the OIC system and its role in promoting cooperation among the member countries.

In addition, the delegation was provided with detailed information about SESRIC’s core activities contributing to the development of OIC countries under its three mandated areas of statistics, research, and training & technical cooperation. Thye were also briefed on SESRIC initiatives that contributes to the development across OIC countries in various socio-economic sectors.

The visit took place on the margins of an activity of the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye for the benefit of the Yemeni diplomats. It facilitated the exchange of ideas and underscored the importance of strengthening relationships with the Yemeni national institutions.
