SESRIC attended the Family, Culture, and Art Symposium held in Ankara, Türkiye, on 19-20 November 2025. The symposium was jointly organized by the Presidential Culture and Arts Policies Board and the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye as part of the "2025 Year of Family" initiative, aiming to advance current discussions on family structure, the preservation of cultural values, and the impact of art on the family and society.

The symposium brought together representatives from relevant ministries, public institutions of Türkiye, international organizations, non-governmental institutions, and academia. It highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the Turkish family structure and the protective, unifying, and strengthening role of culture and art amid the challenges of modern changes.

The symposium addressed various themes, including strengthening family policies, preserving cultural heritage, the relationship between young people and their families, and the influence of media and digitalization on family structure. Key topics included:

  • Family and Population Policies in the Triangle of Culture, Art, and Media

The discussions also focused on potential solutions to address common challenges faced by families in Türkiye.

In the closing session, H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, President of the Republic of Türkiye, delivered a speech emphasizing the critical importance of the family for the future of society. H.E. particularly emphasized issues such as combating cultural erosion, preserving values, and supporting young generations.
