SESRIC contributed to an expert panel on Cultural Technology (CulTech) and Creative Industries during the OIC Cultural Festival: Baku Creative Week 2025 on 10 December 2025. The panel was organised by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In its intervention, SESRIC emphasised the importance of equipping young people in OIC countries with skills that combine technological capabilities with cultural authenticity, enabling them to become producers rather than only consumers of cultural technology. It identified AI literacy, culturally rooted digital content creation, cross-cultural design thinking and collaborative coding for cultural applications as key competencies. These skills can support youth engagement, cultural innovation and the development of creative industries across the OIC region.
