SESRIC participated in the Senior Officials’ Meeting preparatory to the 2nd OIC Conference of Transport Ministers, held on 11 February 2026 in İstanbul. Dr. Esat BAKIMLI, Coordinator at SESRIC, delivered a presentation on the Centre’s contributions through statistics, research and capacity building.

The presentation stressed the importance of aligning infrastructure investments with effective institutional frameworks, evidence-based policies and sustained capacity development. SESRIC reiterated its commitment to working with OIC Member Countries and institutions to strengthen transport capacity, improve connectivity and support sustainable socio-economic development.
