H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Sohaira Zahid SIDDIQUI, Executive Director of the Al-Mujadilah Center & Mosque for Women, on the sidelines of the Second Jadal Summit in Doha, Qatar.

The discussion explored practical opportunities for institutional cooperation, with particular attention to developing a more holistic understanding of women’s well-being, one that extends beyond economic measures to include social, legal, educational, health, confidence-related, and spiritual dimensions. The two sides also exchanged ideas on jointly designing survey-based tools to help bridge existing data gaps and considered the possibility of piloting these instruments in other OIC countries.

The meeting concluded with a decision to pursue the formalization of cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding, with a view to supporting evidence-based policymaking on women’s issues.

Both parties reaffirmed the importance of multilateral collaboration in addressing the multidimensional aspects of women’s well-being across the OIC region.
