H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a meeting with H.E. Prof. Dr. Kemal MEMIŞOĞLU, Minister of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, to further strengthen cooperation in the health sector and explore opportunities for expanding joint initiatives.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed enhancing collaboration between SESRIC and the Ministry of Health of Türkiye in key areas of mutual interest, with a particular focus on the health domain. The discussions centred on advancing joint capacity-building initiatives aimed at supporting stronger and more resilient healthcare systems, improving the quality of health services, and promoting knowledge sharing and technical cooperation among OIC countries.

H.E. SELÇUK highlighted the importance of fostering strategic partnerships with leading national institutions in OIC countries, noting that such collaboration plays a vital role in strengthening institutional capacities and contributing to sustainable development. She also underlined SESRIC’s commitment to supporting member countries through tailored programmes, training activities, and technical assistance in priority health areas.

For his part, H.E. Prof. Dr. MEMIŞOĞLU expressed his appreciation for SESRIC’s efforts in promoting capacity development and cooperation across the OIC region. He reiterated the Ministry’s readiness to work closely with SESRIC in implementing joint projects and initiatives that contribute to improving public health outcomes and advancing universal access to quality healthcare services across OIC countries.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their shared commitment to further deepening cooperation and enhancing joint efforts in the health sector for the benefit of OIC countries.
