Training Course on ‘Digitalisation and Utilisation of AI in Audit’

Within the framework of its Public Audit Capacity Building Programme (PAU-CaB), and in collaboration with the Turkish Court of Accounts, SESRIC organised a virtual Training Course on “Digitalisation and Utilisation of AI in Audit” on 21–22 April 2026.

The training course aimed to facilitate exchange of knowledge and good practices in utilising technological advances, such as AI for better public administration and governance in the contemporary world. The training course was intended to explore the transformative auditing processes in the wake of digital age that can be a case study exemplary as well as lesson-learned for the OIC countries. A total of 105 experts and representatives from the public audit institutions and relevant national agencies in 31 OIC countries benefited from the course.

The following topics were discussed during the training:

  • Digital Transformation in the Public Audit Landscape;
  • Data Governance in Public Audit;
  • AI in Risk Assessment and Audit Planning;
  • Anomaly and Fraud Detection Using Data Analytics (non-technical);
  • AI Governance and Ethical Responsibility in Public Oversight; and
  • AI-Human Relations and Future Perspectives.

SESRIC launched the Public Audit Capacity Building Programme (PAU-CaB) in 2020 with the aim of providing a framework of cooperation, facilitate and strengthen collaboration between relevant national institutions of the OIC Member Countries responsible for public audit.
