Within the framework of SESRIC Halal Capacity Building Programme (HALAL-CaB) and in collaboration with the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), SESRIC will organise a Training Course on “Halal Certification Frameworks and Regulatory Compliance” on 14-15 April 2026 for the benefit of OIC countries.

The training course aims to enhance knowledge on halal certification frameworks, conformity assessment and related standards as well as share good practices on national-level implementation on halal accreditation. The activity will also present an overview of OIC Global Halal Quality Infrastructure (OHAQ) and highlight SMIIC Standardization Activities.

SESRIC’s Halal-CaB Programme aims to strengthen OIC Member Countries’ national institutions by providing expertise, sharing best practices, and fostering public-private cooperation to develop integrated Halal strategies and policies.
