SESRIC Participated in the Commemoration Ceremony of the 690th Anniversary of Emir Timur’s Birth: Türkiye–Uzbekistan Relations Programme

SESRIC participated in the commemoration ceremony marking the 690th anniversary of the birth of Emir Timur, held at the Social Sciences University of Ankara on 27 April 2026. The event was jointly organized by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), the Social Sciences University of Ankara, and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It brought together representatives of relevant institutions and diplomatic missions to honour the historical legacy of Emir Timur. The ceremony highlighted the enduring cultural and historical significance of Emir Timur across the Turkic world, emphasizing shared heritage and collective memory.
