SESRIC and Al-Mujadilah Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the World Decolonisation Forum, held in Istanbul on 11-12 May 2026, to further strengthen collaboration efforts.

The agreement intends to enhance cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in the fields of women’s empowerment, family and community well-being, and sustainable social development. The MoU aims to strengthen institutional cooperation through utilising South-South cooperation mechanisms, as well as promoting data-driven research, knowledge exchange, expertise sharing, and capacity building initiatives in support of women and societal matters.

Al-Mujadilah Center was founded by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, and serves as a mosque and center providing developmental, religious, social, and research programmes for Muslim women of all ages, offering a space to study, engage in dialogue, and worship together. Al-Mujadilah Center seeks to foster a Muslim society where all women are engaged, their participation and contributions acknowledged and recognized, and their concerns and perspectives shape contemporary Muslim thought and open public discourse and identity.
