Ambassador of Jordan to Türkiye,  H.E. Hazem Issam Al-Khatib AL-TAMIMI , Paid Courtesy Visit to SESRIC to Enhance Institutional Cooperation

H.E. Hazem Issam Al-Khatib AL-TAMIMI, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Türkiye, paid a courtesy visit to the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries. Where he was received by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at the Centre’s headquarters in Ankara.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to reaffirm their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between SESRIC and Jordan’s relevant national institutions. Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in key areas aligned with SESRIC’s mandate, particularly in capacity-building, technical cooperation, and knowledge exchange among public institutions.

H.E. SELÇUK highlighted SESRIC’s longstanding partnership with Jordan, noting that the Centre has implemented more than 260 capacity-building activities for the benefit of over 700 participants from Jordanian public institutions. She emphasized that these initiatives reflect SESRIC’s dedication to supporting human capital development across OIC countries and expressed readiness to further tailor programmes to Jordan’s evolving development priorities.

For his part, H.E. AL-TAMIMI conveyed his appreciation for SESRIC’s sustained efforts in enhancing institutional capacities in Jordan. He underlined the importance of continued collaboration, particularly in areas such as statistics, economic research, and public sector training, and expressed his country’s interest in deepening engagement with SESRIC’s programmes and initiatives.

The visit concluded with both parties reaffirming their mutual interest in advancing practical cooperation and exploring new avenues for joint activities that contribute to sustainable development and institutional resilience in Jordan.
