SESRIC participated in the Roundtable Meeting of Islamic Banking Associations entitled “Elevating the Global Voice of Islamic Banking: Strengthening Representation, Alignment, and Collaboration through CIBAFI’s Leadership”, organized by the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) in collaboration with Al Baraka Forum, and held on the sidelines of the 3^rd Global Islamic Economy Summit on 3 June 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The meeting brought together representatives of Islamic banking associations, financial institutions, and relevant stakeholders to discuss ways to strengthen the representation of Islamic banking within national, regional, and international financial ecosystems. The discussions touched upon the growing importance of coordinated advocacy and collaboration in supporting the continued development of the Islamic banking industry.

Throughout the thematic sessions, participants exchanged views on enhancing the role of banking associations in supporting Islamic finance, advancing Islamic banking priorities within policy and regulatory frameworks, fostering innovation and knowledge-sharing, and establishing more structured mechanisms for cooperation among associations. The discussions also highlighted the importance of leveraging emerging opportunities arising from digital transformation and financial innovation.

The Roundtable concluded with a shared commitment to deepen cooperation among Islamic banking associations and to explore practical avenues in identifying key priorities for future collaboration and coordinated action.
