SESRIC held an online technical meeting with representatives of the Nile Water Sector (NWS) of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (MoWRI) of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The technical meeting followed up on the bilateral meeting held between HE Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and HE Prof. Dr. Hani Atif Nabhan SWEILAM, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt on the sidelines of the 5^th Istanbul International Water Forum in May 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange information on their ongoing activities and to explore areas of mutual interest in the field of water resources. Discussions focused on potential collaboration in capacity-building initiatives, including training programmes, exchange of expertise, and other joint activities that could benefit relevant institutions in OIC countries. Participants also deliberated on ways to enhance knowledge sharing and strengthen institutional linkages in water-related fields.

The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to maintain close communication and to explore concrete areas of collaboration in the forthcoming period.
