SESRIC Organised a Webinar on ‘Labour Migration Systems: Strategies for Public and Private Sectors’

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Service Network (OIC-PESNET) Work Plan 2024-2026 and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC organised a Webinar on “Labour Migration Systems: Strategies for Public and Private Sectors” on 09 July 2026.

The event featured insightful presentations from representatives of the Ministry of Human Resources of Malaysia, and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Türkiye, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) as well as the OIC Labour Centre.

The webinar brought together 94 representatives from public employment agencies and relevant national institutions across 24 OIC countries. It aimed to strengthen the capacity of public employment services and institutional stakeholders in navigating complex cross-border employment dynamics.

Additionally, participants gained insights into managing labor migration and workforce integration, optimizing labor migration systems for both the public and private sectors, and ensuring social protection and ethical recruitment.

The webinar covered the following topics:
