H.E. SELÇUK Met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Water Resources in Jeddah

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Muhammad Mueen WATTOO, Federal Minister for Water Resources of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on 28 June 2026, on the sidelines of Saudi Water Week 2026 in Jeddah.

The meeting focused on enhancing technical cooperation between SESRIC and relevant Pakistani institutions in support of sustainable water management and climate-resilient water solutions. The two sides exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration, particularly in strengthening institutional capacities, promoting knowledge-sharing, and supporting evidence-based approaches in the water sector.

In this context, H.E. SELÇUK highlighted SESRIC’s ongoing capacity-building efforts in the domain of water, including the Water Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB), which aims to support OIC countries through training activities, technical cooperation, and the exchange of good practices.

Both sides also explored opportunities for developing joint initiatives and projects that would contribute to addressing shared water-related challenges and advancing cooperation among member countries in this critical field.
