H.E. Adlan Mohd SHAFFIEQ, Ambassador of Malaysia to Türkiye, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC Headquarters.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the longstanding collaboration between SESRIC and Malaysia. Both sides explored potential areas of cooperation through statistics, policy research, institutional networking and capacity-building initiatives.

During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK congratulated Malaysia on completing its ASEAN Chairmanship and commended its support for stronger intra-OIC economic cooperation.

To date, Malaysia has benefited from around 250 capacity-building activities organised by SESRIC, while also sharing its expertise with OIC Countries.

Malaysia also served as Chair of the OIC-StatCom during its 7^th and 8^th Sessions (2018–2019) and as Vice-Chair at its 12th Session (2023).
