In line with efforts to strengthen cooperation and collaboration among OIC countries through technical cooperation, knowledge sharing, and skills development, SESRIC has reached an important milestone through its Emerging Talents Capacity Building Programme (SETCAB).
Between May 2023 and July 2026, the programme trained and engaged 112 participants from 33 member countries, providing opportunities for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and practical institutional experience.
To date, the programme has recorded the participation of 59 female (53%) and 53 male (47%) participants. Participants had the opportunity to explore socio-economic issues in member countries, gain practical experience in an international setting, and strengthen their professional skills by working alongside experienced professionals.
Among the participating countries, Türkiye (20), Sudan (11), Pakistan (8), Egypt (7), Nigeria (6), and Indonesia (5) accounted for over half of all participants in the programme.
Through SETCAB, participants take part in research, data-related tasks, project activities, and other assignments aligned with their areas of expertise. The programme enables young professionals to apply their existing knowledge, learn from practical experience, and contribute directly to the work of SESRIC.
