SESRIC Organises Training Programme on Data Analysis and Statistical Reporting Skills for Qatar Social Work
Date: 25-26 October 2026
Venue: Doha - Qatar

SESRIC, in cooperation with Qatar Social Work (QSW), organised a two-day training programme on “Data Analysis and Statistical Reporting Skills” for staff members from QSW’s nine centres and headquarters.

The programme aimed to strengthen participants’ skills in statistical analysis, performance indicator development and data-driven decision-making, while enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of institutional operations.

Throughout the programme, participants worked through the full data analysis cycle, starting with formulating analytical questions related to business processes and assessing data quality, followed by data cleaning, the calculation of descriptive statistics, the development of performance indicators and the preparation of concise statistical reports.

On the second day, participants applied the knowledge and skills acquired during the training through practical exercises using a purpose-built synthetic workbook covering QSW’s nine centres. This hands-on approach enabled them to practise analysing institutional data, developing meaningful performance indicators and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner to support evidence-based decision-making.

The training concluded by strengthening statistical capacities and promoting the effective use of data among institutions in OIC Member Countries, contributing to improved institutional performance and more informed policymaking.
