Date: 26 October 2026
Venue: Doha - Qatar

SESRIC participated in the High-Level Roundtable on “Partnerships, Investment and Trade: Advancing Sustainable Development and Prosperity in LDCs”, co-hosted by the Qatar Fund for Development, the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar in Geneva, and the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF), in collaboration with the United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UNOHRLLS) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), on the margins of the 9th World Investment Forum in Doha, Qatar.

The roundtable explored strategies to mobilise development finance, attract quality investment, strengthen productive capacities, and enhance trade as key drivers of economic transformation and sustainable development in Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Discussions also underscored the importance of advancing the implementation of the Doha Programme of Action for LDCs in preparation for its Midterm Review, scheduled to take place on 25–27 March 2027 in Doha, Qatar.

SESRIC’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting LDCs among OIC Member Countries through capacity-building, technical cooperation, and strategic partnerships with relevant international and development institutions. These efforts aim to strengthen institutional capacities, promote knowledge-sharing, and contribute to sustainable development and economic prosperity across the OIC region.
