SESRIC delegation headed by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK participated in the Second Ordinary Session of the Ministerial Council of Women Development Organization (WDO) on 8 June 2023. The event was organised following the Second Session of the Ministerial Conference on Social Development on 5-6 June 2023 in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.

H.E. SELÇUK addressed the opening session participated by the Ministers along with representatives from WDO and other OIC Institutions, underscoring the importance of timely and pertinent cooperation among the OIC Institutions towards achieving the shared goals and objectives, especially the implementation of the OIC Plan of Action for the Advancement of Women (OPAAW) as well the recently adopted resolutions at the Second Session of the Ministerial Conference on Social Development.

She further highlighted the Centre's efforts in the area of women, highlighting the published research reports, contributions to strategic documents at the OIC level, OICStat Database related to family, as well as the training and capacity-building activities focusing on advancement and empowerment of women in the OIC region.
