SESRIC and Hamad Bin Khalifa University Forge New Partnerships in Education, Science, and Technology

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with Dr. Ahmad M. HASNAH, President of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar. This meeting aimed to advance cooperation in several areas, including education, Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), and digital transformation.

The discussions centered on identifying synergies between SESRIC and HBKU that could drive impactful initiatives within the OIC countries. Both parties highlighted the need for focused efforts in delivering practical, hands-on training programs, particularly capacity-building programmes in technical and vocational education and training (TVET). These training programmes aim to provide trainers from OIC countries with essential skills in advanced technologies and modern methodologies, ultimately supporting workforce development and economic growth within the OIC region.

H.E. SELÇUK emphasized SESRIC's expertise to fostering education and technological advancement as drivers of socio-economic progress and acknowledged the unique experience of HBKU in these areas. Dr. HASNAH echoed this sentiment, noting HBKU’s ongoing commitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation, and its strong potential to contribute to SESRIC’s mission in the region.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from both institutions to explore collaborative initiatives that leverage their respective strengths, aiming to promote capacity building, research, and innovation across OIC countries.
