Within the framework of the Social Development Capacity Building Programme (SD-CaB), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Tunisia, SESRIC will organise a Training Course on “Developing Effective, Reliable, and Affordable Social Protection Services for Women in OIC-Africa Countries” on 15-16 April 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

The training course aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and good practices in strengthening social protection services for women in OIC Africa, focusing not only on improving their well-being but also their economic empowerment as a result. The training will delve into topics such as Tunisia’s National Social Protection System, social safety nets for women including those in rural areas, and the impact of social protection on women’s poverty alleviation and economic empowerment.

SESRIC developed its Social Development Capacity Building Programme (SD-CaB) in 2021 with the aim of supporting and contributing to the efforts of the OIC member countries towards enhancing the institutional and human capacities of their national institutions working in the fields of social development.
