The Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and Agency on Statistics under President of the Republic of Tajikistan signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to facilitate collaboration and cooperation between both institutions within the framework of the project titled “Integration of the ‘Tobacco Questions for Surveys (TQS)’ into the National Surveys in Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States”. The MoA was signed on 01 June 2015 by H.E. Amb. Musa KULAKLIKAYA, Director General of SESRIC, and Mrs. Gulnora HASANZODA, Director of Agency on Statistics under President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the implementation period, the Agency on Statistics under President of the Republic of Tajikistan will integrate the TQS into its national Household Survey on Standard of Living, to harmonize and standardize the monitoring of key tobacco control indicators for evidence-based policy making and promote sustainability through frequent collection of the tobacco use data.
