SESRIC organised in collaboration with the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety (DGOHS) operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Turkey (MoLSS) a study visit to the National Occupational Health Office (ONMT) in Nouakchott, Mauritania on 19-23 December 2016. The aim of this project was to improve Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation structure of the state by utilizing the expertise of the DGOHS, as a resource center.

The study visit was conducted by Mr. Nihat Eğri, Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, Mr. Kağan Yücel, Engineer and Mr. Kadir Kadiroğulları, Assistant Occupational Health and Safety Specialist from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

During the study visit, DGOHS delegation attended a series of meetings at the Mauritanian public institutions, including The National Office of Occupational Medicine (ONMT) and Ministry of Labor and Social Security and Social Security Institution of Mauritania. During the study visit the parties exchanged the legislative documents in order to make necessary work.
